ZaikaLab Captain for Android

Order at the table, not at the counter.

Waiters take the order on an Android phone and send it straight to the kitchen and the counter. Fewer trips, fewer mistakes, faster tables.

On the floor

A waiter’s whole job, on one screen.

Take the order, send it, move to the next table. Everything else is the counter’s job, not the phone’s.

The live menu in hand

The same categories, items and modifiers as the counter, with veg and non-veg marks, right at the table.

Build the order as they order

Add items, quantities and notes tap by tap, and send the whole round to the kitchen in one action.

Straight to the kitchen

A sent round becomes a KOT at the counter and prints at the right station. No chit walks across the floor.

Works on the outlet’s network

Captains reach the counter over the local network, so orders land even when the internet does not.

Made for one-handed use

Large targets, a reachable primary action, and a flow a waiter can run without looking twice.

Runs on ordinary Android

Any reasonably recent Android phone. Pair it with the counter once and it is ready for the floor.

How it talks to the counter

The phone sends. The POS decides.

Captains never own the order or the bill. They send commands to the counter over the local network, and the counter, the outlet’s one source of truth, applies them and prints the tickets.

  • Orders travel on the outlet’s Wi-Fi, so they do not depend on the internet.
  • The counter assigns the KOT and the invoice number, never the phone.
  • Every command is recorded, so who added what is always clear.

What a waiter sees

Built for the floor, not the back office.

Tables by status

Free, seated, ticket sent, bill requested, billed: five colours, one glance.

Notes the kitchen reads

"less spicy", "no onion": typed once, printed on the KOT.

Reprint from the phone

A ticket that did not print can be sent again without walking to the counter.

Questions

Captain app questions

Does the captain app need the internet?

No. It needs the outlet’s Wi-Fi to reach the counter PC.

Which phones work?

Any Android 8.0 or newer phone.

Can the phone print the bill?

It asks the counter to print it; the counter prints and assigns the invoice number.
